Certified Orthotist
Amanda is a Canadian Certified Prosthetist who is actively pursuing her certification in Orthotics. She was originally drawn to the field with a drive for connecting people with the activities that mean the most to them and problem solving with design. Amanda graduated from the Prosthetics and Orthotics program at British Columbia Institute of Technology in 2016 after a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University and a brief stint in software design.
Amanda feels honoured to work with clients to design treatment plans and devices that allow them to return to activities of daily life whether it is daily chores to keep them independent at home, community involvement or sport and hobbies. She believes that understanding what is important to her client will lead to the greatest success.
After work, Amanda loves to hangout in the mountains.
